Welcome to North East Edinburgh Counselling Service.  We have been here since 1995 providing counselling for the local community.  Our services are available to anyone from the age of 16 who live in our catchment area of North East Edinburgh. NEECS will be holding their AGM on Thursday 15th November 10am at Volunteer Edinburgh, 222 Leith Walk, EH6 5EQ

Before applying to a service please check the waiting list is open and that you can attend at the times NEECS offers it's appointments. 

The Core Service is currently closed.

The Short Term Service and 16-25 Service waiting lists are open.

We offer counselling on

  • Mondays: 9am to last appointment 12.45pm
  • Tuesdays: 9am to last appointment 4.30pm
  • Wednesdays: 9am to last appointment 12.45pm
  • Thursdays: 2.45pm to last appointment 6.45 pm
  • Fridays: 11.30am to last appointment 12.45pm

Thursday evening sessions are the most heavily subscribed, there will be a lengthy wait for an appointment at this time

Once you have attended your initial assessment your following counselling appointments will be at the same time and on the same day each week, with each session lasting up to an hour.
